1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
2 c. buttermilk
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
4 T. sugar
4 T. melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix dry ingredients. Add yeast, melted shortening and buttermilk with flour and knead lightly. Refrigerate. When ready to bake, pinch off into biscuits (let rise or not) Bake in 375º oven until light brown. Place the rest back in the refrigerator.
