1 lb hamburger
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup sliced celery
2 1-lb cans tomatoes
1/4 cup rice
3 cups water
4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp thyme
1 bay leaf

Directions:

Fry hamburger till pink is gone. Combine all ingredients and simmer till vegetables are done and rice is fully cooked.
