Barbecued Baked Chicken Recipe

3 to 3 1/2 lb fryer
1 medium onion, chopped fine
2 tbsp fat (drippings are good)
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup catsup
2 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
1/2 tbsp prepared mustard
1 cup water
1/2 cup chopped celery
Salt to taste
1 green pepper, cut fine (optional)

Brown chicken in fat until brown. Brown onions in fat and add remaining ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes. Pour this over chicken which has been placed in baking pan and bake in 350 oven for 1 hour. This sauce may be used for other meats.
