Chocolate Spice Cake Recipe

3 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 cups raisins
1 cup shortening
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp cocoa (heaping)
3 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1 cup nuts

1 cup sour whipping cream
1 cup sugar

Boil water, sugar, raisins, shortening, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt and cocoa for 5 minutes. Cool and add flour, soda and nuts. Bake 1 hour at 350.

FROSTING: Boil ingredients to soft ball stage and pour over cake.
