6 strips of bacon
3 lbs beef roast, cut into cubes
1 large carrot
1 med onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 teas pepper
1 can beef broth
3 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 C. red or burgandy wine
3 Tbsp tomato paste
2 cloves garlic
3/4 thyme
1 bay leaf
10 sm potatoes
1/2 lb. small white onions
1 lb mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Crisp the bacon. Brown beef cubes. Brown carrots & onions, salt & pepper the mixture. Stir in flour. Add broth. Add cooked bacon, wine, tomato paste, garlic, bay, potatoes, onions & mushrooms.
Cook on LOW 10 hours (preferred) or HIGH 6 hours.
