1 batch chocolate chip cookies
114oz. package caramels
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 d. peanut butter
1 egg

1/2 c. butter
1 /4 tsp. salt
1/4 c.cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. evaporated milk
3 1/2 c. powderd sugar
1/2 c. nuts

Set oven at 350. Press cookie dough into ungreased 9X13 pan. Press nuts into dough and bake 20 min. While crust is baking, in sauce pan, combine caramels and milk. Cook stiring frequently until smooth. Pour over crust. In medium bowl, combine flour, peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir until blended and coarsely crumbled. Sprinkled over caramel sauce and press into sauce. Bake for 20-25 min.
For the frosting, melt butter. Add cocoa and stir until smooth. Add milk, salt and vanilla. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in powdered sugar until smooth . Spread bars with frosting, sprinkle with 1/2 c. nuts. Cool and serve.
