1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c Steel Cut Oats
3/4 c fat free Milk
6 oz plain low fat yogurt
1/2 c or more favorite dried fruits, pineapple, cranberries, blueberries, dates, etc.
1/2 chopped fresh apple
1/4 c almonds
sliced banana optional

In 2-Qt saucepan combine water and oats. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 8 minutes.(oats will not be tender) Remove from heat,
transfer to mixing bowl. Cool 5 min. Stir in milk, yogurt, dried fruits, apple and nuts. Chill 12 hours,
Good for several days. Serve just like this or add some bran cereal, flax, or wheat germ and more milk.
