Ingredients:  
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped apples, peeled
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour (add about 1/2 c. oats to thicken)
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. shortening
3 tsp. liquid sweetener (or can use Splenda etc.)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins, dates and apples in a scant cup of water for 3 min. Add shortening and cool. Add eggs, sweetener, vanilla and soda and mix. Add flour and nuts last. Mix well. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 min. Store in refrigerator.
