1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 T. anise seeds, crushed
1 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 T. margarine, melted
1 1/2 T. water
1 1/2 T. fresh lemon juice
1 egg
1 egg yolk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Combine the melted margarine and next 4 ingredients; add to the flour mixture, stirring until well blended- will be dry.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead for 7 to 8 times. Shape dough into 16 inch roll and place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Flatten roll to 1 inch thick.
Bake at 350º for 30 min.; remove and let cool. Cut roll into diagonal slices about 1/2 inch wide and place on cut side . Bake at 325º for 15 min. and turn them over and cook another 15 min.
