1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup uncooked rice (instant or fast cook rice)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup minced onion
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1 -10 3/4 oz. condensed tomato soup
1 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl combine beef, rice, egg, onion and salt. Shape
into 1 1/2" balls (about 16). In a large skillet, brown meatballs in
shortening; drain. In a medium bowl combine soup and water
and pour over meatballs. Cover, simmer for about 40 minutes or
until rice is tender. Stir as needed.
