1 Quart Pecans
2 Cups Sugar
6 Eggs
4 Cups All purpose flour
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp soda dissolved in 3/4 whiskey
3/4 cup dark Karo
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup fig preserves
1 small can shopped pineapple
5 jars cherries (drained)
1 pack chopped dates
1 box raisins

In a large brown paper sack, dredge pecans, cherries, dates and raisins (this will require a little extra four) Make sure all fruit is covered with flour and set aside.
Mix butter and sugar together. Start adding flour, eggs and spices. Add liquids and mix well. Add figs and pineapple. Fold in cherries, pecans, dates and raisins. Bake for 3 hours at 225º

This was a signature dessert made by Annette Salemi Domino that was loved by everyone. There are many family members who love this recipe and make it every year. It is delicious and it has a wonderful aroma of holiday spice that will remind you of warm, comforting times by the fireplace in the winter.
