5 T. butter
5 T. flour
2 C. chicken stock
2 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. picked-over crabmeat
1 1/2 c. corn kernels
salt to taste
fresh ground pepper to taste
1/8 t. cayenne pepper
1/2 c. heavy cream

Directions:

Melt 4 T. butter in a saucepan. Add the flour, stirring with a wire whisk.
Add the stock & milk, stirring rapidly with the whisk. Cook, stirring frequently.
MEANWHILE, melt the remaining 1 T. butter in another pan and saute onion. Add this and remaining ingredients and heat until hot. Do not boil.
* After all in added together, transfer to a crock pot. This is an easy way to heat without scorching or boiling.
