2 cans whole tomato's
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspn baking soda
1/4 cup butter
Salt & Pepper to taste

In a pot crush the tomato's
mix with milk and simmer
after the soup begins to boil add baking soda
and butter. let simmer.

I always loved this soup on a cold day and still make it often
The soda cuts the acid and keeps the milk for curddling, Goes Great with a pin-nic ham sandwich with a little mustard and mayo, and of course cheese.
Mama always served it with buttered crackers.
