1/2 C applesauce
1/4 C margarine, softened
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 C unsweetned cocoa
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1 C chocolate chips
2 TB powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Line muffin cups with paper bake cups. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until well blended. Add applesauce, blend well. In separate bowl, stir together flour,cocoa, baking soda and cinnamon, if desired. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full with bater. Bake at 350 for 22 to 26 minutes. Cool slightly in pan. Sprinkle muffin tops with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm
