Ingredients:  
One 7 oz. can whole water chestnuts
7 bacon strips (cut in half)
1/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Wrap each water chestnut in half slice of bacon and skewer with toothpick. If chestnut is larger than bitesize, it may be cut in half. Place each wrap close together in baking pan, seam side down and bake at 300º F oven for 1 hour. Drain bacon grease.

Combine ketchup and sugar and pour over chestnuts. Return to oven for an additional hour. Serve hot. May need to replace sticky toothpicks with fresh ones before serving.
