Several potatoes
milk
salt & pepper
a little sprinkle of garlic
stick of butter
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and boil potatoes. Cut into fourths and place in a large pot of water. Water should cover a least 2 inches above potatoes. When tender drain. Put pot back on the stove and allow all the water to dry making sure the flame is very low. Cover and add the butter, garlic, salt and pepper. Don't mix just allow to sit for a few minutes. Mash with pattern masher then whip with mixer adding hot boiling milk and baking powder as you mix.

This is especially for Tricia because she always raved about my mashed potatoes. I thought they tasted as good as any body else but she was of a different opinion.
