300grams macaroni (1.3 c.)
30 grams butter 2.1 T.)
2 lg onions cut into strips
1 clove garlic, crushed
200grams cream (7oz)
50 grams Gruyere cheese (1.8oz)
3 med potatoes, boiled in their jackets
salt, freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil macaroni until al dente. Rinse in cold water and drain.
2. Saute onions in butter until golden brown.
3. Peel potatos and slice.
4.Layer macaroni, onions and potatos in serving dish and season with salt and pepper. Top with cheese and cream.
5.Reheat at 200C(400) for 10 min or until golden brown. .
