"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Jonathan's BBQ Cups, by Luann Marlin, is from The McRae Family Cookbook 2008,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 can of biscuits 1 1/2lbs. ground chuck, BBQ sauce and sliced american cheese.
Brown ground chuck and drain. Add 1 cup or more of your favorite BBQ sauce until it looks like sloppy joes and set aside. Roll biscuits out larger enough to line inside of muffin cups. Fill each biscuit cup with the BBQ meat sauce and bake until biscuits are brown. Top with cheese and serve. I add my cheese after the biscuits are brown so it want burn on top.
My son loves these with white rice and green beans. He always adds extra BBQ sauce to his rice.
