Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 package of navy beans (let soak in water overnight)
1 package of turkey necks, ham hocks or pork
1 medium onion - chopped
2 cloves of garlic - chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, place all ingredients (with the exception of the salt and pepper) in pot and fill with water approximately 2 inches above ingredients. Bring to a hard boil and reduce heat to simmer for about 2 hours.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Do not add salt and pepper until beans are tender to touch, if you add salt and pepper to early the beans will not get done. I learned this recipe from my mother. This is also one of Kim's favorite, she too can cook a good pot of beans and corn bread.
