2 C flour
1 C salt
3 tbsp oil
4 tsp cream of tarter

Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly 4-5 min. It will get so you can't stir anymore. Add color with hands.

This is the recipe we use at my school. It doesn't crumble, it's not sticky, and it won't make them sick. Just keep a lid on it and color it with paste or food coloring.
