"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Packages of Country Style (thick) Ribs (as many as your family can eat)

Rib Rub (I use Famous Dave's Rib Rub)

Barbecue Sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300. Boil ribs in water for 25 to 30 minutes to "de-fat." Drain water. While ribs are in boiling water, prepare a baking sheet by putting it in the 300 oven WITH WATER to get the water up to temperature.
After draining water from the boiled ribs, place the ribs on the prepared baking sheet and season with as much Rib Rub as you desire....the more, the merrier. Bake at 300 for 1 1/2 hours. Flip over ribs, season again, and bake for at least 1 more hour -- 1 1/2 hours would be better.
When ribs are almost "ready," add barbecue sauce for about the last 20 - 30 minutes. If desired, slap the ribs on the grill for a couple minutes to darken and give the "smoked" appearance.
