1 1/2 lbs asparagus
2 tbsps sesame seeds
2 tbsps vegetable oil
3 tbsps vinegar (red wine vinegar for tangy flavor or rice vinegar for mild flavor)
3 tbsps sugar
1 tsp soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Steam asparagus for 3 to 4 minutes until bright green, then plunge into ice water.
Roast sesame seeds in vegetable oil until golden. Mix together sesame seeds, oil, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce. Pour over cooked and chilled asparagus.
