1/2 lb. leeks
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp flour
1 qt chicken stock
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 c half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Cut leeks 3 times lengthwise and wash.
Cut crosswise into small pieces; saute in butter. Add flour; cook, stiring, till golden brown. Add stock, salt and nutmeg; simmer till tender, 30 to 40 minutes, stir frequently. add half and half; heat.
