3 c. flour,
2 1/2 c. sugar,
1 1/2 t. salt,
1 1/2 t. baking powder,
1 1/2 c. milk,
3 eggs,
1 1/8 c. crisco oil,
1 1/2 t.vanilla,
1 1/2 T. poppy seed,
1 1/2 t. almond extract

Topping
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. orange juice
1/2 t. almond extract
2t. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add milk, eggs, oil, vanilla, poppy seed and almond extract. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Watch closely. Next make the topping. Mix together sugar, orange juice, vanilla, almond extract and butter. Brush or spoon on hot bread. Remove from pans when bread is cool.
