1 lb. smoked turkey kielbasa (cut into bitesize pieces)
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 cup uncooked rice
1 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes (w/ juice)
1 small can tomato paste
1 can chicken broth
1/2 Tablespoon rosemary
1/2 Tablespoon basil
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/2 Tablespoon thyme
1/2 Tablespoon oregano
1 lb. peeled, raw (deveined) shrimp

1. In large Dutch oven, saute onions, peppers, and garlic until softened; add sausage and saute another 5 minutes.

2. Add remaining ingredients and spices (except for the shrimp); stir thoroughly and cover. Simmer on med-low heat for 1 hour; stir every 10 minutes.

3. Add shrimp and stir in well; cook 7-10 more minutes until shrimp is pink.
