3/4 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. ground pork
1 small onion, grated or minced
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. marjoram
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. olive oil
1 (10-1/2 oz.) can condensed beef consomme

Directions:
Directions:
Combine meats with onion, bread crumbs, seasonings, eggs, and milk; mix lightly with fork. Shape into small balls. Brown a few at a time in oil in a hot skillet. Drain off all fat in pan and return the meatballs. Add consomme and cover. Simmer until cooked through (about 15 minutes.) Remove meatballs with slotted spoon. Keep hot while making sauce.

Sauce: Pour all liquid from skillet into a cup. Add water if needed to make 1 c. of liquid. Return to pan and heat to boiling. Thicken with a little cornstarch and cold water, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish. Pour over meat balls or serve with potatoes or noodles.
