2/3 cups butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 6 ounce package chocolate chips
2-3/4 cups flour
2-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and chocolate chips. Sift and add all dry ingredients. Add nuts if desired. Mix together. Spread evenly in well greased 10 x 15 pan (jelly roll pan). Bake at 350 for NOT MORE THAN 25 MINUTES. When almost cool, cut into squares.
