1 lb. soup meat with bone
1 lg. can tomato juice
Salt and pepper
1/3 c. barley or rosa macaroni
Stalk celery with leaves
2 potatoes
1 bay leaf
3-4 carrots
Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper meat. Place in large kettle and add enough water to more than cover. Add diced celery and bay leaf. Simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Remove and dice meat, discarding bone.
Add barley and tomato juice. Simmer 1/2 hr. Add diced potatoes and carrots. Simmer until done.
