3 c. cubed seasoned stuffing
1 c. half & half cream
1/2 c. plus 2 T. butter,
1 lb. fresh asparagus, trimmed
melted, divided
and cut in 1 in. pieces
1/2 c. water
1 jar (4 1/2 oz). sliced
2 T. chopped onion
mushrooms, drained
2 T. flour
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 t. salt

Dash pepper

Combine stuffing mix with 1/2 c. butter and water. Let stand 5 minutes. Press onto bottom and sides of greased 9 in. pie plate.
Saute onion in 2 T. butter in saucepan until tender. Stir in flour and seasonings until blended. Stir in cream. Bring to boil; cook and stir 2 min. or until thickened. Remove from heat. Add asparagus and mushrooms; mix well. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover and bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes. Serves 6-8.
