Crust:
1 C. Walnuts, chopped
1/2 C. Butter, softened
1 C. Flour
Filling:
8 oz. Cream cheese
1 C. Powdered sugar
8 oz. thawed Cool Whip, divided
Topping:
4 C. Strawberries, crushed
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1 C. Sugar
1 C. Water
3 oz. pkg. Strawberry gelatin

Directions:

Crust:
Combine walnuts, butter and flour together, spread in a 9x13 inch cake pan and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Cool.
Filling:
Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust and refrigerate.
Topping:
In a saucepan, combine cornstarch, sugar and water together. Heat until mixture begins to boil and turns from cloudy to clear. Remove from heat and add strawberry gelatin. Add strawberries to mixture. Cool; spread over cream cheese filling. Refrigerate. Cover with remaining Cool Whip topping and sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if desired.
