5 lbs. soup meat
3 medium onions, chopped
2 medium bell peppers, chopped
4 stalks celery, cut int 1 inch lengths
1 #303 can whole or stewed tomatoes, cut up
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 c. parsley, chopped
5-6 qt. water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can whole kernel corn and liquid
1 can string beans drained
4-6 fresh carrots peeled and cut into 1/2 in.
1 can lima beans and liquid
1 package vermicelli noodles

Combine above ingredients in large pot ( about 12 qt). Bring to a boil, turn heat down and let simmer slowly about 3 hrs. Additional water may need to be added. Add the following ingredients: corn, string beans, carrots and lima beans. Continue to simmer for additional 45 minutes. Add vernmicelli during the last 20 min. of cooking
