2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
Sauce:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, sugar and juice from fruit cocktail. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to mixture and beat. Fold in fruit cocktail. Pour into a greased 9X12 pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts over top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Sauce: Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over low fire, stirring often. Pour sauce over cake immediately after removing cake from oven.
