2 (13 oz.) cans Northern Beans
1 small onion chopped
3-5 cloves garlic
2 large carrots-chopped
2 large stalks of celery-chopped
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
5 c. chicken broth
Salt & pepper to taste
1 c. uncooked macaroni or rotini
Cubed ham or cooked chicken or kielbasa (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions, celery and carrots. Add chicken broth, garlic, canned beans and tomatoes; bring to a boil and add macaroni and meat (if desired). Cook until macaroni is done.

You can add fresh oregano to soup for more flavor. Eat with fresh Italian bread. Sprinkle soup with Parmesan cheese when serving.
