c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar (packed cup)
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
tsp. cinnamon
tsp. ground cloves
c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and bananas. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover and chill for about 1 hour. Heat oven to 375. Drop rounded tsps. of dough about 2" apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
