Ingredients:
Tomatoes
Fresh mozzarella cheese
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
Slice tomatoes and mozzarella. You can layer the slices: tomato, cheese, tomato, cheese, etc; you can chop the tomatoes and cheese and mix in a bowl; or you can use cherry tomatoes with little chunks of cheese.

However you prepare the main ingredients, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Personal Notes:
The amount of ingredients depends on if you're using this as a side, a salad, or a snack, and the number of people. Use whatever kind of tomato has the most flavor- I like to use cherry tomatoes on the vine for this.

You can add other ingredients as you like: basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, herbs, etc.

Make sure to buy "fresh" mozzarella, the kind that is soft (not string cheese or the kind you slice and put on sandwiches-those are too hard). You can find it in the deli area of the grocery store. It will either be packaged in tight plastic or in tubs floating in liquid. It comes in logs or different sized balls. It doesn't really matter which one you buy as long as you buy "fresh."

This is my favorite snack!
