Pumpkin Bread Recipe

3 c sugar
1 c vegetable oil
3 lg eggs
1 16-oz can solid packed pumpkin
3 c flour
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 c chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 and butter 2 - 9x5x3 loaf pans. Beat oil and sugar together. Mix in eggs and pumpkin. Sift flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking, powder, soda and salt in another bowl. Add flour mixture into pumpkin mixture 1/2 at a time. Divide batter between two pans. Bake until knife inserted comes out clean. Bake approx 1 hr 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
