1 2/3 c. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. dark chocolate, coarsely chopped ( about 3/4 cup)
1/4 c. chopped walnuts, toasted (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. Beat butter with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add beaten egg and vanilla, beating just until blended.
4. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, stirring just until combined; fold in chocolate and walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
5. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.

Courtney these are Momma's Weight Watchers cookies that taste better than the regular ones. I never added the walnuts to my recipe, but if you like you can. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
