Ingredients:  
2 T. butter
1 T. onion, minced
1/4 c. flour
4 c. chicken broth
2 c. wild rice, cooked
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. half & half cream
Variations to add: 1/2 c. minced ham, 1/3 c. grated carrots, 3 T. slivered almonds
Garnishes: minced parsley or chives

Directions:
Sauté minced onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour. Gradually add chicken broth. Stir in the wild rice, salt and any additional variation ingredients. Let simmer 5 minutes. Blend in the half & half and heat through. Garnish soup with parsley or chives and serve.
