2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup butter
6 eggs
2/3 cup raisin juice
5 cups flour
6 cups blended oatmeal (see note in directions below)
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. vanilla
2 boxes raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Start by placing 2 boxes of raisins in a saucepan and cover with water, bring to a boil cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and retaining 2/3 cup of the juice from the raisins.
Cream sugar, butter, eggs, shortening and raisin juice cream well.
Add flour, soda, salt, and vanilla, mix well. Add spices and oatmeal (blended oatmeal is oatmeal that has been run through a food processor until it resembles flour) add cooked raisins mix well.
Bake at 375
Bake for 12 min.only
