1 c. butter, at room temperature
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 large eggs
4 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon

With an electric mixer, beat butter, oil, 1 c. granulated sugar and powdered sugar on medium speed until very smooth. Beat in eggs until well blended, scraping down sides of the bowl as needed.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Beat into butter mixture until well blended.

In a small bowl, mix remaining 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll each in cinnamon sugar mixture. Place dough 3-4 inches apart on parchment lined cookie sheets.

Bake in a 375 degree oven until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes.

Transfer cookies to racks to cool completely.

Great Christmas Cookie...use red and green sugar instead of white sugar for the perfect holiday cookie tray! This is a very easy recipe and makes a lot of cookies!
