1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
3 c flour
1 1/2 c shortening
1/4 t salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 c buttermilk
1 t soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Cut in shortening until lumpy the size of peas. Take out 1 c for topping and set aside.

Add 2 beaten eggs to above mixture. Add 1 t soda dissolved in 1 c buttermilk. Stir well and pour into 9x13" lightly greased pan. Sprinkle with cup of dry mixture on top. Then add cinnamon and chopped pecans to taste.

Bake at 350º for 40-45 minutes.
