2 ready made pie crusts

FILLING-
3-3 1/2 C. THINLY SLICED APPLES
1/2 C. SUGAR
3 T. GOLDEN RAISINS
3 T. CHOPPED NUTS
1/2 t. CINNAMON
1/4-1/2 t. GRATED LEMON PEEL
2 t. LEMON JUICE
1 EGG YOLK, BEATEN
1 t. WATER

GLAZE-
1/4 C.POWDERED SUGAR
1-2 t. LEMON JUICE

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees and place pie crust in 10 inch tart pan with removable bottom or 9 inch pan.
Combine apples, sugar, raisins, nuts, cinnamon, lemon peel and juice. Spoon into crust, cover with crust.
Trim and seal. Combine egg yolk and water, gently brush over crust.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40-60 min. until golden brown and apples are tender. Cool 1 hr.
Mix glaze and drizzle over slightly warm pie.
*Cover pie with foil during last 15-20 min. if necessary to prevent excessive browning.
