Baked Penne Recipe

6 tbs. olive oil
1 chopped onion
6 cloves of garlic, minced
3 28 oz. cans petite diced tomatoes
2 tsp. dried sweet basil
1 tsp. dried crushed red pepper
1 can chicken broth
1 lb. penne pasta
1 lb. Havarti cheese, grated
Grated Parmesan cheese
Finely chopped fresh sweet basil

Saute onion and garlic in oil. Add tomatoes, dried sweet basil and crushed red pepper; bring to boil. Add chicken broth; bring to boil. Cook until sauce thickens; about 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper.

Preheat oven to 375 F. Cook pasta until tender but still firm to bite. Drain well. Return pasta to same pot. Pour sauce over and toss. Mix in Havarti cheese. Transfer pasta to 13x9x2 in. baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake until pasta is heated through, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped sweet basil.
