1 1/3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. white sugar
1/3 c. butter or shortening
1 Curtiss 10 cent Butterfinger cut in small pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and sugar together. Beat in the egg. Sift the dry ingredients, sprinkle over small cut pieces of Butterfiner and combine with the wet ingredients. Chill. Drop by half spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for about 12 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
