1-1/3 Tsp. Salt
1-1/3 Cup Sugar or Honey, divided
1 Qt. Water, warm, divided
1 Cup Oil or Shortening
2 Tbsp. Yeast
13-14 Cups Sifted Flour (12-13 Cups unsifted)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine yeast, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 cup water and let work. Put remaining ingredients in Mixer. Add yeast when dissolved. Knead on low speed 15 minutes. Put in greased bowl and let rise high. Divide into fourths. Then divide each quarter into thirds and braid and put into greased bread pans. Let rise again. Bake at 325º for 20 minutes then reduce temperature to 300º and bake another 30 minutes.
