1 pt strawberries, washed and cleaned
1 2/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 c sugar
1/3 c shortening
2 eggs
1/3 c water
1/2 c chopped nuts
soft cream cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Grease loaf pan. Preheat over to 350F.

Puree berries in blender to make 1 cup. Pour into sauce pant. Heat to boiling and cook 1 minutes stirring. Cool.

Combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and baking powder.

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with water. Stir in strawberries and nuts.

Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes and turn out on wire rack. Serve with softened cream cheese.
