4 lg Vidalia onions thinly sliced,
4 Tbsp butter,
1 c milk,
2 lg eggs plus 1 egg yolk,
1 tsp salt,
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pepper to taste,
chopped chives or green onions for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onions in butter until golden. Cool. Whisk all but garnish and add to onions. Put in 1 1/2 qt buttered baking dish. Bake at 325 40-50 minutes until golden and knife comes out clean. Garnish
