1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tspn vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tspn soda
1 tspn salt
3 cups quick rolled oats, uncooked

Filling:
12 oz package chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tspn salt
1 cup nuts
2 tspn vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, mix in the eggs and vanilla. Sift together the flour soda and salt. Stir in rolled oats. Add the dry ingredients and set aside while making the filling. In sauce pan over boiling water, mix together the chocolate chips, sweetened cond. milk, butter and salt. Stir until smooth, stir in nuts and vanilla.
Spread about 2/3 oatmeal mixture in greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan. Cover with chocolate, dot with remaining oatmeal mixture. Bake 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
