1lb beans 1 med. onion 1/2 cup Sugar 1 tbsp salt 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1 tbsp vinegar 1/3 to 1/2 cup dark molasses 1/4 lb bacon
Wash and soak overnight. Simmer unitl tender (add pinch of soda) Add above ingrediaents to beans and blend. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes then reduce heat to 250 and bake for 6 - 7 hours, checking every hour. Keep beans covered with water until last two hours. Uncover at end to brown.
