2 CUPS SUGAR
1 CUP WHITE KARO
1/2 TSP SALT
2 CUPS (1 PINT) WARM LIGHT CREAM
3 TBSPS BUTTER
2 TSPS VANILLA

Directions:
Directions:
Over medium heat, mix sugar with 1 cup of warm cream, karo and salt, stirring for 10 minutes. Add the rest of the cream very slowly so that mixture does not stop boiling. Cook 5 minutes longer. Stir in butter 1 teaspoon at a time. Cook slowly until thermometer reads 248. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Stir well, then pour into buttered pan. When cool turn out on buttered board. Mark off in squares. Wrap in plactic wrap or waxed paper.
